Maximeville, December 15, 2016 – Local high speed internet service provider, Air Tech Communications announced today that it is expanding into the Maximeville region. This area will become a part of its ever growing network in western Prince Edward Island.
Air Tech will be providing download speeds of up to 5Mbps and upload speeds over 1Mbps. This represents a major improvement in an under-serviced area that has been struggling with slow inconsistent speeds and poor connectivity. The company is already connecting customers and they’re encouraging residents to sign a waiting list to be connected in the spring.
“After meeting with the Province and identifying Maximeville as an area in need of improvement, we decided to make an investment in the community and offer our service to residents and businesses,” said Kent England, Owner of Air Tech Communications. “The service we provide will represent a major improvement over what’s available in the area now. We look forward to working with the Province to help other under-served areas of Prince Edward Island.”
Air Tech Communications is locally owned and operated. The company was established in 2003 to provide wireless internet solutions for rural communities. In 2014 the company began its expansion into West Prince. It began in the Tyne Valley area, and expanded to the Ellerslie, and Poplar Grove. As part of this controlled expansion, Air Tech Communications always keeps the best interests of its customers in mind. Air Tech serves hundreds of Island families and is looking to further expand into more Island communities while assuring the quality of their service for current customers.
