We’ve been working hard over the past few months to install new equipment to serve you better, and we’re not done yet! We have further implementation planned that will increase the reliability and speeds of your internet service. Customers are using their services for much more data intense tasks and that requires an significant overhaul of our system.

Not only are we making changes to our equipment, but also we’ve made improvements to our customer service. We’ve implemented a new ticket system that allows us to respond to customer issues quickly and effectively. On average we are responding to customers within 12-hours of their initial contact. Our online network status allows you to quickly identify if there is an issue on your cellular device. Alternatively, you can call our toll free service support line.

As many of you are aware, the CAD$ has been struggling against the US$ for quite some time. This fluctuation is causing supplies to be more expensive and it’s having a knock on effect to the entire Canadian market. As such, almost all service providers of any kind are having to increase their prices.

To continue to serve you effectively and efficiently, we have no option but to increase our monthly rate to $64.95 for residential customers and $99.95 for business customers (excl taxes). The new service fees will apply from October 1st.

Please note, this price has applied to new connections since June 1st.

Even with this increase, it still puts our pricing below and in-line with our competitors. The increase in service price is vital to allow us to continue offering something which has become a rarity; an uncapped service.

Other providers are capping the amount of data you can consume, but we believe that a customer shouldn’t be restricted by data limits. So why is uncapped data so important? Whenever you visit a website you consume bandwidth. Text consumes the least while photos, videos and online gaming consume a lot more.

Like many of us, you are probably subscribed to a service like Netflix. Watching high definition content on Netflix consumes 3GB/hour. Based on one of our competitors pricing who offers 50/GBs of bandwidth per month, after just 8 movies, you would be paying for expensive additional data. 8 movies may seem like a lot, but when you think this doesn’t include anything else you do online, you soon realize that it’s just not enough. The average Netflix user will consume over 100/GB of usage a month. It’s not just Netflix either. Facebook users on average consume 2-4/GB a month. So if you have a household who all use Facebook, this number increases quickly.

At Air Tech, we don’t want you to be concerned about that; we want you to enjoy using your service without having to monitor your usage. Obviously, we can’t guarantee what the future will hold as the market changes and develops, but as long we can, we will provide you with an uncapped service.
